suspended personnel platforms Question: Does OSHA require a specific load rating for each occupant of a platform? Answer: No. OSHA only requires an overall rated load. LTI uses 300 pounds per man, tools & materials. (One exception: Washington State OSHA requires rating to be 500 pounds for the first person and 250 pounds for each additional person.) Q: What if I am only going to lift two men but need a higher rated capacity? A: No problem! We'll design the basket to accommodate a higher rated capacity and furnish a larger test weight for the load testing. Q: Can I have an access gate in my personnel platform? A: Access gates are available on almost all models Q: Is overhead protection required by OSHA? A: Overhead protection is required ONLY when there is a danger of falling objects from above. This is an available option on any of our platforms. Q: Is there an additional charge for the test weight system and sling assembly? A: No. Our platforms are always sold on a turn-key basis, providing everything needed from the crane hook down. Q: Are platforms available in colors other than what is shown on the site or in your literature? A: Yes, we can Powdercoat in virtually any color you choose. |
