work platforms Question: Is the Quick Claw Safety System on your platforms required by OSHA? Answer: OSHA simply requires a forklift platform to be secured to the truck in some fashion. We provide the Quick Claw system in addition to security chains for optimum safety. Q: Can I purchase a platform that I can use with both my crane and forklift? A: We believe, for safety reasons, each platform should be dedicated either to a crane or a forklift. Q: Do forklift platforms fall under as much scrutiny as crane-suspended platforms? A: No. However, OSHA has proposed rules for forklift platforms that will become law some time in the near future. (A copy of these rules is available from LTI in our mail package. See our mailing page for more information.) |
